I have been having a mini freak-out for the last few days. The kind of freak-out you would have if you went into your bag to retrieve you size 7 Denise needles and noticed you only had one. Where the hell is the other one?? I tried to ignore it - fate was playing a vicious little game and I wasn't going to participate. No, I was going to be a bigger person. I wasn't going to rip apart the entire living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, stash closet, clothes closet, etc to find this little needle. I was also denying the fact that since my needles were in my bag, they had been outside of the house...where they could have been really lost. To distract myself, I completed the meme Jae tagged me with. It has a fours theme and since I was born on April 4th (04/04), I am quite partial to the number 4.
Four Jobs You Have Had in Your Life:
1. Baker: In high school, I worked with my sister at a bakery in a fancy grocery store. We were instructed to mislead customers into believing that the pies were prepared from scratch on site when really they were frozen pies, shipped in from somewhere, that were heated "right here in this oven".
2. Telemarketer: In my first year of university, I got a part-time job as a telemarketer selling the Globe & Mail. It was so sketchy that it lasted all of two hours. When it came time for my break during my first shift, I called my sister, who was visiting for the weekend, and went to the movies with her instead of going back to work.
3. Subject in scientific experiments: During my undergraduate career, my friends and I used to make extra money being test subjects in scientific experiments run at the university. I once participated in a pain study in order to buy myself a pair of running tights. Luckily I was in the nitrous oxide condition and didn't care that the oral injection techniques they were testing really, really hurt.
4. "Tutor": I am an actual tutor, but a few years ago, a grad student paid me to keep him awake while he studied. As if.
Four Movies You Could Watch Over and Over:
1. Legally Blonde: This was my pump up movie while I was writing the MCATs. I still get a little teary-eyed when she gets her LSAT scores back.
2. Zoolander: This movie is the source of the best quotes ever (You can read minds?). It also doesn't hurt that I have a secret crush on Ben Stiller.
3. Mallrats: This is my favourite Kevin Smith film.
4. The Princess Bride: I first saw this movie at my cousin's house in Brighton one summer. We have often acted out many of the scenes. I think we have my cousin Greg playing the priest on tape.
Four TV Shows You Love to Watch
1. ER: This one is probably obvious considering the pre-med thing.
2. CSI Las Vegas: For some reason I only like Las Vegas. It probably glorifies science more than the other two.
3. Gilmore Girls: Sue and I are watching the DVDs right now. It's so good.
4. Queer as Folk - Brian Kinney is so yummy.
Four Albums You Can't Hear Too Often:
1. Suba - Sau Paulo Confessions
2. Gotan Project - La Revancha del Tango
3. Massive Attack - Mezzanine
4. Thievery Corporation
Four Places You Have Lived
1. Sudbury - For the first 18 years.
2. Switzerland - I went on a student exchange when I was sixteen. It was amazing.
3. Toronto - For the last 8 years.
4. I've really never lived anywhere else...
Four Places You Have Been on Vacation
1. Greece & Turkey - This was the 25 day cycling trip I did with my father.
2. Sardinia & Corsica - This was the original 21 day father-daughter cycling trip.
3. Cuba - My immediate family just got back from Cuba so it's at the front of my mind.
4. New Orleans - Costin had a scientific meeting there so we got to visit before Katrina.
Four Websites You Visit Daily
1. Yarn Harlot
3. Pubmed
4. Websudoku
Four of Your Favourite Foods
1. Gram's Sugar Cookies
2. My mom's lasagna & Caesar salad
3. CHEESE
4. Spicy Sausage
Four Places You Would Rather Be Right Now
*I actually really like Toronto, but here is a list of places I could see myself living briefly
1. Montreal
2. NYC
3. Paris
4. Portland

I didn't realize you lived in Switzerland. I lived there for 6 weeks when I was 17. I was supposed to be learning French. But I only was really only there to have fun. I lived in Leysin.
